Cocoa Origins
Real people, rare beans. We travel to four origins to buy cocoa face to face from the smallholder farmers who grow it.
Why origin matters
Cocoa is an agricultural product like wine grapes or coffee. Genetics, soil, altitude, fermentation and drying make each origin taste unmistakably like itself. Because we make bars from just two ingredients, everything you taste came from the farm.
How we choose a partner
We look for a community that ferments carefully, a group willing to sell to us directly, and a flavour we cannot get anywhere else. Then we commit for years, not for one harvest.

Del Tambo, Ecuador
A cooperative in the coastal lowlands growing Nacional cocoa with a floral, bright profile. Our longest-running partnership.
