Origin Trip #51: Mababu, Tanzania, 2024

Ten years of the clubs. That is roughly nine hundred students who have come through them, and a generation of girls in Mababu who finished school when their mothers could not.

The celebration ran for a full day: speeches from graduates, a football match that our team lost badly, and a meal cooked by the mothers' committee.

Business happened too. We bought the entire harvest, agreed the price at the table, and paid the profit share.

The most useful conversation of the week was about drying beds. The committee wants twelve more before the next rains, and profit share will cover them.
